Windsurfing: Ynyslas Estuary
Wind Direction: W
Wind Stength: 30-40 knots
Surf / Sea State: choppy
Air Temperature: 9ºC
Sea Temperature: 10ºC
Weather: Sunny
Max Speed: 31.4 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 18.2 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

I had to take Morgan to a birthday party this afternoon so had to go out relatively early, but the tide was too high on the sefront so I headed off to the estuary. Despite winds up to 40 knots, there wouldn't have been enough wind for my 3.4m and the 4m would have been OK in the gusts but not in the lulls so I went with the 4.5m and my little wave board... The wave board had a big lump of filler in it which I hadn't sanded down, but I thought with a decent amount of power I;d easily overcame the extra drag that would create.

It turned out just about right, plenty of power for a mad fast and furious session in the estuary chop. I even managed a decent top speed of 31.4 knots, and the sun was shining too. Kind of wish I'd sanded the repair down now so that I could have got a little more speed out of the board.
